StreamSend Review
StreamSend has been around for less than a decade, but they are gaining popularity thanks to their easy-to-use interface, unlimited image hosting, split testing and segmentation features, and email analyzing system. While their prices may be a bit steep for some companies (particularly smaller ones), there is a lot to recommend them. This provider was originally created by a web hosting company called EZ Publishing. EZ Publishing has been around since 1998, though their email marketing service wasn’t started until 2004. Now it’s become their flagship product, and the company’s success continues to grow.
StreamSend Pros
StreamSend is gaining in popularity with their easy-to-use interface, unlimited image hosting, free split testing, great segmentation features, and an awesome email analyzer.StreamSend Cons
We are unable to find an HTML editor to modify templates. Email support is slow on responses at times. The cheapest price is far higher than all competitive products we’ve reviewed.Newsletter Features
You can get started with email design quickly with StreamSend, which offers you pre-designed templates or allows you to upload your own. Professional template design services are offered at an additional cost. You can edit your emails and adjust your templates using an HTML editor. The “to,” “subject,” “from,” and “reply” fields can be edited; the footer doesn’t need to be; StreamSend, unlike most email marketing services, does not imprint its logo in your footer. Unlimited uploading and storage is provided for images.
Autoresponders are included in the software which you can program according to specific send dates and times. Social sharing for Facebook, Twitter, and other services is included, which helps you to broaden your reach throughout the web. You also have the option of using a dedicated IP address, which can help you to protect your reputation as a sender. Another feature allows you to automatically build a Facebook page with a single click.
Another cool feature is the Email Analyzer, which shows you screenshots of how your email will appear in thirty different email clients. These include the major clients like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo! and AOL, but also a number of less prominent email clients. You can preview your messages with and without images and also test-run your emails through nine different spam filters to make sure they’ll get through.
Subscriber Management
StreamSend has powerful segmentation features which start with customizable, easy-to-set-up sign-up forms. Using these forms you can collect information about your subscribers which you can then use to segment your lists into specific groups. You can then send targeted bulk email to these groups based on interests and demographics. This ensures that only relevant emails reach interested recipients.
Email Reporting
Analytic features report in real-time on your opens, clicks, bounces, and more so that you can improve your campaign straight away. You can also track invalid email addresses so you can remove defunct accounts from your system. Google Analytic integration helps you to track the effectiveness of your campaigns in terms of browsing behavior on your site as well as purchase decisions.
Customer Support
On the StreamSend Resources page, you’ll find a blog with current updates, a knowledgebase which you can search through to find answers to common questions, and a selection of webinars which help you to get started and improve deliverability. There are also links to email marketing articles, industry blogs with relevant information, and social media guides for Facebook and LinkedIn. Toll-free phone numbers are provided for customer support, and there is a section where you can update your billing information and view your current balance as well as your payment history. There is an email ticketing system for tech support inquiries, which appears to be the best way to get someone to help you in a timely fashion.
StreamSend Review Summary
The price for StreamSend bulk email software is more expensive than the prices offered by many competitors. The least expensive package starts at $39.90 per month for 10,000 recipients. If you’re a small business which doesn’t need this kind of capacity this may be a bit steep for you. The most expensive package is 150,000 subscribers for $209.90 per month. Larger business may actually find StreamSend quite affordable.
Are there any drawbacks? Email support is reportedly slow on response at times, and the fact that you’re basically relegated to a ticketing system may not be acceptable to all clients. Aside from that and the cost, StreamSend looks like it could be a great program; you have to see their analyzer which lets you see your email in 30 different clients! Are the added features worth the added cost? Try their free trial and decide for yourself.
